It looks like Sony will detail plans for official PlayStation Move PC support at GDC at the end of the month.
A listing for a presentation by SCEA’s lead in the Game Systems team in Developer Support John McCutchan, outlines a new project that will allow hobbyists to meddle with the Move on their PC.
“This talk will bring developers up to speed on developing for the PlayStation Move controller,” It says. ”We will cover developing for the new PlayStation Move Sharp Shooter accessory. We will discuss the new Move Server project that will make it possible for academics and hobbyists to develop software using the PlayStation Move controller on their own PCs.”
If tech heads around the world can be even half as creative with the Move as they are when they hook up Microsoft’s Kinect to a PC then we could be seeing more exciting DIY development. I wanna see some PlayStation Move trainers/sneakers for the next Sonic game, or maybe a Farmville rip-off named Playstation Moo?
Rumour have been confirmed that a single disc trilogy collection of the splinter cell franchise will be released. The disc will include Splinter Cell 1, Pandora Tomorrow and the brilliant Chaos Theory all rezzed-up and looking swanky on the PS3.
Meanwhile, Ubi have also announced that a Prince of Persia Trilogy, unfortunately, only released in the US as downloads via the PS Store, will also get a Blu-ray release in the region on the same day.
The PoP collection includes Sands of Time, The Warrior Within and The Two Thrones on the disc, playable in stereoscopic 3D. If you have all the kit that is.
Both compilation discs will set you back $39.99 each. Expect a UK release date for the Splinter Cell Trilogy soon.
Some quality contenders for my new desktop image me thinks.
The internet can be a dark institution, there are however some people churning out some fun creative things for us to enjoy, here’s some good looking video game cross overs. We’re particularly enjoying the Sesame Street Fighter at the bottom.
With January traditionally being a slow month for retail in general. Some PC developers have gone the way of the app. store and were starting to enjoy some legitimately free games that are actually good. If you’ve never given an MMO a proper attempt, a good and free place to start would be Champions Online.
Here’s our top-five, click the games to go to the source.
The latest Battlestar trailer looks nice and plush, but as Guildwars, and the way it seems to be going DC Universe Online, proved looking plush is not the way to make a killer MMO.
An open beta for the upcoming, free-to-play Battlestar Galactica MMO is set to kick off on February 8. If you fancy some browser-based Cylon bashing, read on for details of how to apply for the beta, and a video of the game in action.
The game can be played from your internet browser, and will let you choose to side with the humans or the Cylons in a galactic war that will have you piloting your ship in space and wandering around the game’s space stations, talking to recognisable characters from the TV series. To sign up for the beta, head over to the official Battlestar Galactica site.

I’ve done my best to avoid all things Minecraft, it just seems to be everywhere in gaming places. On top of that I get the feeling that as soon as you’ve seen one person make something cool with the engine you’ve seen them all.
This one I liked though.
There’s the music. The Predator language. The invisibility. The skulls. There’s even the lumberjack stalking sequence and…oh, OK, so that part’s new to this vid. Everything else, though, is classic Predator.
There have been light guns since the days of the NES, and gun-shaped controller accessories continue to be a staple for every game console. Called the App Gun, courtesy of a company called AppToyz.
All you have to do is strap your iPhone into the little case at the end of the gun, and suddenly you can play all those arcade shooters without the annoyance of your fingers getting in the way.
When you pull the trigger, it causes a little rubber arm to tap the touchscreen for you. Quite pointlessly though, these arms are not movable, they can only hit the screen at the spot where they’re stationed.
So if you want the perfect example of an “I have it because they make it”, over-the-top and unnecessary iPhone accessory, the App Gun will be available for you sometime this summer for around $30.
EA’s just launched a new Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters video showing how you’ll be able to interact with your caddie for the first time in the series.
More than just a club handler, your caddie will also provide helpful golfing insight – and maybe emotional support too if you’re playing as Tiger!
Yes, there is actually going to be a follow up to Red Dead Redemption. Red Dead Redemption follows John Marston’s effort to stop a zombie outbreak that’s spreading across the American frontier.
This trailer does look pretty damm good, but it is a little too much like a Wild West version of Grand Theft Auto.
The other day we posted a quick article about the video game playing skills of Tahiti Cora.
