I enjoy going to see a good musical just as much as the next person. My father and I enjoyed the Vienna State Orchestra on new years eve 1999 and my wife and I have been to see Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Fame, I liked them all so you can healthily say that I have broad taste in entertainment, I fancy that some of these talent shows, So You Think You Can Dance? for example, are in bad taste but that’s an argument for another day.
The reason for this article was something I heard on the radio this morning. We broke the normal etiquette of musicals I think around half a dozen years ago, and brought them into modern culture more obviously with the Gerry Springer musical. Song about cheating and drugs and people ripping each others clothes off all tied up nicely with a slash of swearing. The Gerry Springer Opera was good. It enjoyed these tours dates in the UK. But now its just getting silly.
We had a Spider Man musical, we had a Jade Goody Musical. I stuck Top Gun The Musical into Google for a laugh, AND THERE IS ONE! There is also a Green day musical, and somehow it got good reviews. But the latest had had an effect. I’m not watching another Musical/Opera again unless is one about me.
Nick Clegg, for those that don’t know, (im thinking of the US here really) is the leader of the third run political party in the UK and, thanks to the closest general election the country has seen for ages, is now second in command of her majesty’s government in a coalition cabinet with David Cameron, a Conservative/Lib-Dem super-team.
And we’re making a musical about him, and to make it worse, its a Hip-Hop one. A HIP-HOP ONE. The show, which has the working title “Nicked” (which is quite a good name actually), features David Cameron in a “rap off” with his backbenchers and promises to take in the student demonstrations and the run-up to the referendum on voting reform.Steven Atkinson, the artistic director of the HighTide Festival, where the show will be performed, said it will follow “the rise and fall of Nick Clegg”.

Mosa’ab Elshamy — a photographer and pharmacy student who attended the Tahir Square rallies in Egypt — describes the volunteer-run kindergartens that spontaneously popped up in the square to care for the children who came with their families for the rallies:
“It’s difficult to estimate numbers, but I think not less than 10 percent of those present in Tahrir were families. They added a special spirit to what we started calling Republic of Tahrir. Some of the kids would do their own marches around the square, with people applauding and smiling at them. They were quite an integral part of the place and everyone took care of them. When Tahrir would get crowded and a kid got lost from his parents for a while, we would quickly mention their name in the large microphones set in the square and the parents would easily find them.
I wouldn’t say the kindergarten idea was set up by specialists. But there were people of all professions in Tahrir which obviously included teachers. But many of those working on the kindergarten were ordinary mothers who would take care of the kids and look over them while they were painting or reading. It was usually set in the safest area of the square, just in case anything would happen, and the kids were being kept at a distance from any possible tension. But obviously it wasn’t professionally set up. I mean, it didn’t have working hours or a fixed schedule, because the place was quickly developing and changes were taking place from day to day. Still, the main core was maintained and any kid could join, play with others for some time, and indulge in children’s activities for a while. It was quite heartening to say the least”.

According to an article on Swedish game site Press2Play, we should “forget dreams of Mirror’s Edge 2.” The report, which was originally published in December, claims that a prototype for Mirror’s Edge 2 was declined by EA, and that the project has been “stopped.”
According to the report, Patrick Soderlund, EA’s man in charge of driving and shooting games, “seems to have Mirror’s Edge near his heart” but also admits that “Mirror’s Edge didn’t match up to their expectations regarding sales.”
Given this Press2Play story, Gibeau’s comments, and that we haven’t heard much in support of Mirror’s Edge 2 except from Soderlund, we’ve just about completely lost faith in the possibility of a sequel (Ha!). DICE is surely focusing the bulk of its resources on Battlefield 3, anyway.
After almost nothing but good reviews of the first one, this was actually a decision that gamers didn’t see coming me thinks….
If you are ever near Belize you should visit the Great Blue Hole, one of the world’s most recognizable natural wonders.
The Great Blue Hole is located in Belize Barrier Reef Reserve System, about 60 miles away from Belize City. It is believed that this hole is the world’s largest sea-hole. It is about 125 meters deep and its diameter is about 300 meters wide. It has been created as a cause of sea level increase about 65,000 years ago.

I have always wanted to travel to Zimbabwe to simply swim in The Devil’s Pool. The Devil’s Pool is a small lagoon, enclosed by rocks on the edge of one of the worlds biggest waterfalls, Victoria Falls.
Set on Livingstone Island, at a height of 103 meters, Devil’s Pool is definitely one of the most surreal locations on Earth.

I used to play tennis for a living a few years ago, so Im a huge fan of the sport. Thus, I have compiled some of the funniest tennis photos I have ever seen.

This appeared on Fox News when they were covering the current Egypt crisis. Fox News… apparently mixing up Egypt and Iraq. Understandable, of course, given that Egypt is such a new country.

Playmate Crystal Harris met Hugh Hefner at the Mansion’s 2008 Halloween Party, and the two hit it off. “Hef was so humble and easy to talk to, which is one of the things I love about him,” she says. Crystal is now Hef’s girlfriend and lives with the icon.
I still find it weird how a sexy girl can want to date and live with Hugh Hefner. Strange!
